Rita M. (Robertson) Cramer, age 85, of Avon, died unexpectedly on January 15, 2023 at Brockton Hospital. Born and raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late George and Stella (Cahill) Robertson. Rita was a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School and was employed for 25 years at Aqua Leisure Industries. She had been a resident of Avon for the past 52 years.
Rita was a woman devoted to her family and was a devout catholic with a deep faith. She had a contagious laugh and enjoyed talking and being with family, friends and anyone she met. Holidays with her family and cooking were special to her. She also liked to play Bingo and sing.
Rita was the loving mother of George Cramer, Jr. and his wife Debra of Randolph, Deborah A. McKenna and her husband Stephen of Randolph and Robert L. Cramer and his wife Nancy of Texas. She was the grandmother of Stephen, Daniel, Laura, Ryan and Daniella and great grandmother of Sophia. She was the sister of the late Muriel Meaden, George Robertson, Harold Robertson, Arthur Robertson, Marjorie Cronin, Edward Robertson and John Robertson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and her former husband George Cramer.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton on Sunday, January 22, from 2-5pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Monday at 8:45am for a Funeral Mass in St. Michael’s Church, Avon at 10am, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery.
