KEZAR FALLS- M. Ellen Milliken, age 101, went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 15, 2023.
She was born on March 20, 1921, in Parsonsfield, a daughter of the late Ralph and Marion McAllister.
Ellen is predeceased by her beloved husband- Clyde Milliken who passed away on March 12, 1994; siblings- Esther, Bernice, Mabel, Ruth, George and Ben; daughter-in-law- Joan Milliken; and sons-in-law- Jerry Sawyer and Stephen Libby.
Ellen is survived by her children- Faye Berg and her husband Edwin, Ruth Sawyer, Marie Libby, and Richard Milliken; grandchildren- Tina, Sandra, Sharon, Kimberly, Nicole, Stephanie, Mary Ellen, and Jody; great grandchildren- Ryan, Eric, Tyler, Alex, Cody, and Coral Ann; great great grandchildren- Lydia, Addie, and Noah; and her sister- Madeline and several nieces and nephews.
You can't put a person's legacy of 101 years old in one paragraph but we will say this Ellen was a hard worker all her life, she loved her children, grandchildren, great great grandchildren and her whole family dearly. She never complained once and was quite an independent woman. She will be missed dearly by all her family and friends and those that were lucky enough to know Elllen.
The family would like to thank the following people and agencies for exceptional care of Ellen in the past 3-4 years which enabled her to be at home till she went home to be with the Lord, Her former PCP, Dr. Joseph dekay and his staff before his retirement, Beacon hospice of maine, Northern Light agency, Lee Wilson who came daily to assist for months to help with care, Judy Adam's who came to sit with Ellen on occasions and Heather Edwards who also came to help with Ellen
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday Jan. 29 from 2 - 5 PM at the Calvary Bible Church, 348 South Hiram Road, in Hiram. Burial will be amongst Ellen's family at Riverside Cemetery in the spring.
