David S. Gianunzio, age 65, of Somerset, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. Born in Middleboro, he was the son of the late James and Claire (Fallon) Gianunzio.
Prior to retirement, he worked as a picker and sorter for Salvation Army and also had several various jobs over the years. His interests include, assembling model cars, metal detecting, fishing, New England Patriots football, and most of all spending time with his loving family.
David was extremely devoted to his family and loved them deeply. He was a kind, loving, and generous man with a heart of gold who would give the shoes off his feet to help someone in need.
David is survived by his children David A. Gianunzio of Somerset, Gina M. Adorno and her husband Jose of Somerset and Angela M. Ferrini and her husband Ronnie of Taunton: grandfather of: Elisabeth, Katie, Shelby, Anthony, Julie, Maggie, Daniel, James, Annabella, Isabella, Vella, Lucas, Pistachio, Jazlynne, Anthony, Janiyah, Vinchenzo, Ronnie and the late Jose, Jr., great grandfather of: Lily, Serenity, Grayson, Seleyna, Rosaleen and Sareena. He was the brother of Susan Velazquez, Claire Givson and the late James “Jimmy”, Shawn and Mark Gianunzio.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with David’s family on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater.
