Sarah J. Garrison, 85, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, January 16, 2023, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating. The family will greet friends following the services at the cemetery.
Mrs. Garrison was born July 14, 1937, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Harmon & Sarah Stapleton Davis. She worked for H. R. Kaminsky & Sons and Fitzgerald Ice Company. Mrs. Garrison enjoyed reading and attended First Baptist Church in Fitzgerald.
She is survived by a sister, Earldean Schalch of Fitzgerald; a nephew, Raymond & Sherri Schalch of Ocilla; and two great nephews: Jarrett Schalch and Will Schalch, both of Ocilla. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W.E. Garrison and two sisters: Louise Doolittle and Louella Pafford.
