Carmen “Lita” González, 84, of Worcester, devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on January 14th surrounded by her loved ones. In Heaven she will be welcomed into the arms of her late husband Wilfredo Barbosa, her father Anselmo González, her mother Ramona Velez and her beloved brother and sisters.
Carmen is survived by her four children, Lourdes Barbosa, Nélida Barbosa, Edna Barbosa, and Wilfredo Barbosa; her 14 grandchildren, Keila Rivera, Katherine Martínez, Kiarali Santiago, Edward Vargas, Isaiah Del Río, Perla Garcia, Ámbar Garcia, Wilfred Vargas, Kevin Rivera, Nicole Del Rio, Michael Vargas, Wilfredo Barbosa Jr, Wilmara Barbosa and Yarianna Barbosa; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was a loving person with a heart of gold. She enjoyed spending time with her family and watching her great grandchildren play. She leaves a legacy of love, acceptance and unity and will be missed tremendously by all who loved her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19th, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. The burial will take place at a later date.
