Robert Nelson McCreedy, 62, of Derry, NH passed away Tuesday January 10, 2023, at Parkland Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Bob was born April 11, 1960, in Boston, MA and was a son of the late Robert and Kathleen (Fredericks) McCreedy. He was raised and educated in Somerville, MA and was a longtime resident of Medford, MA prior to relocating to Derry thirty years ago.
Bob worked for many years as a retail clerk and manager in various department stores. He enjoyed old-time movie comedians like Jerry Lewis, and the occasional horror flick, as well as music. Though never married, he played the role of uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Members of the family include his three sisters, Arlene Hatfield, Linda & Robert Williams and Lorraine & Charles Defelice, eight nieces and nephews, Bob, Michael, Matthew, Brian, Danny, Julie, Christina and Charlie, and four grand nieces, Rachel, Sarah, Ashlee and Allison as well as many cousins. Bob was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Robert Hatfield.
Calling hours were Friday January 13, 2023, from 9 to 11am at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium 15 Birch Street Derry, NH. A funeral service will followed at 11 am in the funeral home and burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery of East Derry.
