Worcster - Robert H. Mott Jr., 65, of 4 Chelsea St. died Friday August 9 in his home after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 35 years Patricia (Lynch) Mott of Worcester; one son John R. Mott of Worcester; two daughters Kathleen A. Rawlston of Spencer and Robin P. Campbell of Worcester; two brothers Ronald Mott of Worcester and William Mott of FL; two sisters Joanie LaBuff of Worcester and Florence Bonardi of Worcester; 5 grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Mott was born in Worcester son of Robert Sr. and Florence (Bazin) Mott.
Mr. Mott is a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from the UMASS Medical Center in 1997 and previously worked for the former Crompton & Knowles Company.
He was an avid card player and enjoyed Irish Music.
The funeral will be held on Monday August 12 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond Street with a mass at 10 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church 51 Illinois St.. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 PM on Sunday August 11 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Osteoporosis Society or the American Heart Association 20 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701.
