Josephine (Pandolfo) Forgione, age 94, of Medford passed away at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on Sunday, January 8th. Raised and educated in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Matteo and Angela (Mazza) Pandolfo. Josephine moved to Medford over 70 years ago, and was employed for over 50 years as a cashier at pharmacies located on Salem St. in Medford (originally Turn Style and now Walgreens).
Josephine was the beloved wife of the late Carmen Forgione, and the devoted mother of Carmen Forgione, Jr. of Medford, Donald Forgione and his wife Linda of Peabody, and Steven Forgione and his wife Karen of Walpole. She was the loving grandmother of Cynthia, Dawn and Daniel, and loving great grandmother of Emily, Jax, Alexa and Oliver. Josephine was the dear sister of seven late siblings and is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, on Tuesday, January 17th at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford from 9 through 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
