In loving memory of Eleanor May Thompson. August 13, 1939 to January 9, 2023.
LIMINGTON- Eleanor May Thompson, age 83, passed away on Jan. 9, 2023, at Maine Medical Center.
A lifetime resident of Limington Maine who wed Grover Thompson on and raised seven children in a small house on Boothby Road. She was a woman who was passionate about flowers and could name every variety. Some of her favorites were bleeding hearts, daffodils, tulips and crocuses. When it came to soap operas you would always find her watching her decades long favorite, Days of Our Lives, she never missed a single episode. Eleanor lived a simple life raising her children: Mary Roy, Grover Thompson, Ellie Thompson (deceased), Raymond Thompson, Sally Sampson, Cindy Berg, and June Walker. She was a proud grandmother of twelve grandchildren whom she always had over, enjoying those who spent the night watching Disney movies and recently blessed with five great grandchildren. She will forever be missed by her friends and large family, who will continue to live with her memories close to their heart.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday Jan. 17 from 5 - 6 PM, followed by a 6 PM funeral service at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St., Cornish. Burial will be in the spring at Limington Village Cemetery.
