GUISTI, George R. Lifelong resident of Walpole, died peacefully on January 6, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Marilyn M. (Scully) Guisti. Devoted father of William Guisti of Walpole, George Guisti Jr. and his wife Kathy of Walpole, and the late Cheryl Guisti. Grandfather of Alexandra Mainelli, Jessica Young, and Shelby Folk. Great-grandfather of Eleanor Folk. Brother of Richard Giusti of Walpole and the late Robert Guisti and Eleanor Bearse. Son of the late Vito and Eleanor Guisti of Walpole.
George was a U.S. Navy Veteran and the president and owner of Distinctive Fence of Sharon for over 60 years. He enjoyed attending and cheering on his kids and grandchildrens sporting events. His family was the light of his life.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham on Thursday, Jan. 19 from 4-7pm. His Funeral Mass will be held in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham on Friday, Jan. 20 at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, West Roxbury.
