Paul E. Piggott, 68, of Johnston, passed away May 23, 2006 at home. He survived by his beloved wife, Helen Piggott. He was born in Pawtucket. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Mildred Piggott and daughter Marion.
He served the United States Navy faithfully and honorably for 22 years retiring in 1984 as Senior Chief Torpedoman. Paul was an avid photographer and historian. He enjoyed woodworking, creating bird houses for his many feathered friends and was frequented for several years with seasonal visits by a hummingbird he named “Flash”. Paul also enjoyed playing “Five Foot Two, Eyes of Blue” on his banjo.
He is now resting peacefully with his best friend, Josh, his beloved German Shorthaired Pointer.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons Bob and Chris, his loving daughters Sandra G, Vivian and Janet. He was a loving Grandpa to Chad, Holly, Rob, Rachael, Nicole, Jill, Scott, Andrew, and Chase.
Retired Senior Chief Paul E. Piggott was laid to rest on May 26th, 2006 in a private funeral service with full military honors. Donations in his memory may be made in his name to the Johnston Fire Department Rescue Service, 1520 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919.
