Philip J. Jersyk, aged 77, passed away unexpectedly on January 7, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Julie (Henderson) Jersyk.
Philip was the son of the late Emil and Louise (Crowley) Jersyk. He grew up in Salem, was a graduate of Salem High School and Franklin Institute of Boston, with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
Philip began his career in aerospace sales at the General Electric Company in Lynn. He then went on to a career in residential real estate, first with the Carlson Company and later becoming the principal in the Thompson Company in Topsfield. Phil helped many families find homes throughout the North Shore over the years and enjoyed designing and building homes as well.
For the last several years, he has enjoyed a part-time job transporting clients of the Rainbow Adult Day Center in Peabody.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his beloved daughter Alexandra Ricciuti, her husband James Ricciuti and cherished grandchildren, Inez and Nathaniel Ricciuti; sister-in-law Ann Henderson as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and many beloved and treasured friends. He was predeceased by his son Philip William Jersyk and sisters Elizabeth Toomey and Christina Green.
Visiting hours will be held at Levesque Funeral Home 163 Lafayette ST. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem, on Friday, January 13th from 4:00 to-7:00 PM. A gathering to celebrate Philip’s life will be held Saturday January 14th at 11AM at Danversport Yacht Club in Danvers. All are welcome to join.
