Christine (Makowski) McLaughlin, 72, of Auburn passed away at home on January 7th surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Natrona Heights, PA on February 22, 1950, she was the daughter of Francis and Esther (Pugliese) Makowski.
She was a graduate of Kiski Area High School and received her Nursing Degree from Greensburg Nursing School. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Nurse at CMC in Manchester for 35 years.
Christine loved spending time with her family and friends and being Nana to her granddaughter Lucy. She enjoyed gardening and could often be found at the Church or the Audubon Center tending their flower beds as well as her own. She had many very good friends in the neighborhood. She was an avid reader and enjoyed music, spending time as a member of the Songweavers all women’s choir. She was also a member of both the Herb Society of Chester and the NH Forest Society where she spent time educating kids about the local plants and wildlife.
She was predeceased by her parents, Francis and Ester Makowski and her brothers John Makowski and Vince Makowski both of Vandergrift, PA.
Christine is survived by her husband of 53 years Ronald McLaughlin, daughter Trina, son in law Mark, granddaughter Lucy, her sister Francine Whaley of Apollo, PA, her 2 nieces Miriah Kimmel and Samantha Lee Curtis as well as her great nephews and nieces.
Services: Calling hours are from 1 to 4pm on Saturday, January 14th at J.N. Boufford & Sons, 110 Bridge St. in Manchester. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Breast Cancer Research.
