Martha Lynn (Goins) Kettron, 83, of Anderson passed away on January 5, 2023 at Community Hospital Anderson following a very brief illness.
She was born on September 13, 1939 in Elwood, Indiana to Clinton R. and Dolly A. (Bloomer) Goins. She was a 1957 graduate of Anderson High School. She received a secretarial science degree from Ball State Teacher’s College in 1959. She was employed as a secretary at Guide Lamp for 35 years and retired in 1996.
She was a former member of Bethany Christian Church. She was actively involved at the Madison County Historical Society. She loved and had a great passion for history, decorative arts, crafting, and antiques. She was the past president of the BPW (Anderson Business and Professional Women’s Club). She was very active with her Anderson High School Class of 1957 classmates and helped plan many of their class reunions.
She is survived by her only daughter whom she dearly loved, Dolli A. Kettron of Waterford, Michigan; many nieces and nephews especially, Leslie Taylor of Pendleton, IN and Maria Kleinman of Carmel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton R. and Dolly A. Goins; her husband of 44 years, Hugh Edward Kettron in 2003.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Kent Stookey officiating. The burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery.
The visitation will be from 12:00pm-2:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Madison County Historical Society.
