Randolph “Keith” Gibbs, Jr., 48, of Ocilla passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023, in Irwin County. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Brother Cary Kight officiating. Keith will be laid to rest at Turner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Enigma. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Grant Hall, Isaac Hall, Karter Kight, Shane Bruce, Josh Moore, Zach Moore, Daulton McMillan and Dillon McMillan will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Hal McMillan, Hugh Cox, Charles Goodman, Andy Thompson, Brad Sullivan and all dairymen of South Georgia and North Florida.
Born February 6, 1974, in Tifton, Keith was the son of Randy “Skeeter” Gibbs, Sr. and Debra Elizabeth Swails Gibbs of Enigma. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Dennis Kight. He was a cattle buyer for Hugh Cox Livestock for more than 20 years and was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid horseman aka “horse whisperer” and he loved his family, especially his wife, Casey and his son, Tristin. He was a dedicated family and work-oriented man. His dedication to his work, led to Hugh and Melinda Cox being considered extended family.
In addition to his parents, Keith is survived by his wife, Casey Kight Gibbs of Ocilla; one son, Tristin Keith Gibbs of Ocilla; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sheila and Cal Ridley of Tifton; two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Chrystal and Kyle Kendrick and Ashley and Ricky Hinson; and two brothers-in-law and their wives, Bert and Brandy Kight and Adam and Brittany Ridley. He was loved by his nieces and nephews, Taylor Hall and her husband Isaac, Grace Hall, Maycey Kight, Gretchen Kendrick, Payton Ridley, Jayden Hinson, Zoey Hinson, Grant Hall and Karter Kight; and one great-nephew, Jack Hall.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial gifts may be made to a charity of choice.
