Hermine Spiewak, 95, of Londonderry, NH, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 in the Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, NH surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 8, 1927 in Karlsdorf, Yugoslavia, daughter of the late Martin and Maria (Franceschina) Klingel. Hermine had been a resident of Londonderry for the past 25 years, formerly living in Bedford, MA. She had been a ballet teacher for many years, and was involved with the NY City Ballet and the Boston Ballet. Hermine had volunteered with the American Red Cross and was known as a Gray Lady. She had been very active in St. Mark the Evangelist Church in Londonderry. Hermine was a “party planner extraordinaire” and had even published an autobiography memoir for her family.
She is survived by her son, Ken Spiewak of Londonderry; her daughter, Kristine Roberts of Moseley, VA; six grandchildren, Shara, Taylor, Cole, Cameron, Kadyn, and Megan; six great grandchildren, Falynn, Haevyn, Ivy, Declan, Corinna, and Warren. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Spiewak, her daughter, Winifred, and her granddaughter, Kassidy.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 12th from 10 - 11am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A funeral service will follow at 11:00am in the funeral home. A committal service will be held on Friday at 11:00am in the chapel at NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy., Boscawen, NH.
