Sarah Mulkey, 80, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Friday, January 6, 2023, at Atrium Navicent Health in Macon, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Monday, January 9, 2023, at Big Creek Cemetery, in Irwin County, Georgia, with the Rev. Ike Thomas and the Rev. Ed Reeves officiating.
Mrs. Mulkey was born September 13, 1942, in Fitzgerald, Georgia. She was a 1960 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. She worked for Irwin EMC for many years and also drove a school bus for Irwin County for 16 years. She was an avid reader and loved to read her Bible. She enjoyed cooking and visiting with her family. She was a member of Big Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Becky Ann Luke & Kenny of Enigma, W.E. “Bubba” Mulkey, Jr. of Lands Crossing, Patti Jo Mulkey of Fitzgerald, Michael D. Mulkey of Ocilla, and Marcus Mulkey & Jennifer of Lands Crossing; grandchildren: Marshall McDonald & Lindsay, David Allan Luke & Kelsey, and Elliott Browne Mulkey; and great-grandchildren: Kayden Murray, Karter Luke, and Delanie Luke. She was preceded in death by her parents, George W. “Will” & Clara Stokes Prescott; her husband, William Everett “Billy” Mulkey; and a brother, Henry Clayton Prescott.
