Carole “Denise” Carver, 59, of Irwin County, Georgia, passed away at her home, on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, January 7, 2023, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, in Ocilla, Georgia, with Elder Barry Marshall officiating. The eulogy will be given by Julie Maloy Wright. Interment will follow in Frank Cemetery, Irwin County. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla.
Mrs. Carver was born February 10, 1963, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Roy E. “Bob” & Romell Harper McCoy. She was a graduate of Irwin County High School. Denise, affectionately known as Nana, was a stay-at-home mother and helped to raise many of Irwin County’s finest. “If Nana couldn’t fix it…nobody could.” She loved gardening, shopping, going to the beach, and spending time with her family and friends. Her husband, children, and grandchildren were the light of her life. There are no words to describe the joy she brought to everyone she knew and loved. She will be missed beyond measure and never forgotten.
She is survived by her husband, Faron Carver of Irwin County; children: Kayla Carver Lanier & Dustin of Fitzgerald, Lee Carver & Holly of Ocilla, and Scott Carver & Krystal of Ocilla; grandchildren: Payton, Kyle, Madison, Farrah Brice, McCoy, Cohen and Carver; two sisters: Nancy Young & Kenny of Fitzgerald and Sandy Ammons & Raymond Herndon of Ocilla; nephews: Jason Young & Suzanna, Justin Young & Bonni and William Towson & Misty; as well as several great nieces and nephews.
