Robert B. "Bobby" Leeman, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Boston Medical Center following a brief and courageous battle with cancer. He was 58 years of age.
Bobby was born in Somerville on September 2, 1964, a son of the late John K. "Jack" Leeman and Catherine T. "Kay" (O'Connell) Leeman. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School. Bobby worked as a Laborer and was a member of the Laborers Union Local # 22. He enjoyed collecting art and coins, watching the Patriots and cooking which was his passion in life. Bobby also enjoyed the special moments in his life growing up with his 3 brothers and later on in his adult life enjoying those special occasions with his nieces and nephews and their families.
Bobby is the beloved son of the late John K. "Jack" Leeman and Catherine T. "Kay" (O'Connell) Leeman. He is the devoted brother of Jack Leeman and his companion Marylou Currier, retired Boston Police Lieutenant Joe Leeman and his wife Linda and the late James M. "Jim" Leeman and his surviving wife Lorraine. He is the loving uncle to Ryan, Patrick, Joseph, Miranda, Stephany and his great-nieces and nephews Ella, JoJo, Teagan and Francis. He is the former husband of Jodi Mozetta and son-in-law of Rose Mozetta.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bobby's visiting hours on Monday morning, January 9, 2023 from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 12 Noon. His burial will be private.
