Clotilde Vega Enrique, age 90, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2022 at Vantage of Wilbraham Nursing Home. She was born on December 24, 1932 in Juncos, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Lorenzo Vega and Eduarda Diaz De Vega. Clotilde was a dedicated homemaker and worked in Tobacco farms for many years. She lived in Puerto Rico and Florida before residing in Springfield. She had a very strong faith and enjoyed spending time with her family and loved ones. She had a love for birds, plants and gardening; many enjoyed her fresh gandules (pigeon peas). She is predeceased by her husband Pablo Enrique who passed away in 2019, her son Juan Estrella, her grand daughter Virgen Estrella, one brother Santiago Vega and three sisters, Eulogia Vega, Margarita Vega and Teresa Vega. She is survived by three sons, Eddie Estrella of Chicopee, Angel Estrella of Springfield and Luis Estrella of Springfield; one daughter Virginia Estrella of Puerto Rico; two brothers, Justino Vega of FL and Gavino Vega of Puerto Rico; two sisters, Felicita Vega of Puerto Rico and Andrea Vega of Chicopee; she had 18 grandchildren along with many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members who will all miss her dearly. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 12:00 - 2:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. Burial will be private at a later date.
