Shelby Jean Copeland Beasley, 85, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Southern Oaks Personal Care Home in Tifton. Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Rickey Wells officiating. Ms. Beasley will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 3:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Mike Clements, Joshua Clements, Jason Clements, Andy Gill, Jacob Gill, Matthew Smith and Chip Copeland will serve as pallbearers.
Born June 25, 1937, in Ocilla, Ms. Beasley was the daughter of the late B. H. “Bo” Copeland and Annie Lee Padgett Copeland. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Copeland and Bobby Copeland. Before retiring, she worked for more than 50 years in the banking industry. She enjoyed helping people through her work, softball, basketball, interior decorating, shopping, but most of all, she enjoyed her family.
Ms. Beasley is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Micki and Rick Galliano of Tifton; one brother, Johnny Copeland of Florence, Alabama; one sister, Wylene Thomas of Tifton; two granddaughters, Katie Ward and Samantha Galliano; and two great-grandchildren, Margo and Lucas Ward.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial gifts may be made to a charity of choice.
