WEBSTER – Kathy Lee (Gelnette) Dupont, 67, died Sunday, January 1, 2023 in UMass/Memorial University Campus, Worcester after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 30 years, Kevin A. Dupont; a daughter, Tiara Skulley and her husband John of New York State; 5 grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Dolores (Gallant) Leblanc of Webster; her brothers-in law, David Dupont, Brian Emery and Larry Dupont; her sisters-in-law, Judith Dupont, Jacqueline Power and Christine Emery; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother Ronnie, her uncles David and James Schaffer and her brother-in-law Alan Dupont. She also leaves her beloved Chihuahuas Ozzie and Kersey.
She was born on January 3, 1955 in Brookfield, PA, the daughter of James and Luella (Schafer) Gelnette and raised there. She lived in The Bronx, NY before moving to Webster at the time of her marriage.
Mrs. Dupont first worked as a weaver and then supervisor at the former Anglo Fabrics Company. She was a customer service representative at the Worcester Telegram & Gazette in Worcester. She retired as a cashier from Market Basket in Webster 2 years ago due to illness.
She was a member of Saint Louis Church. The family would like to give special thanks to Kevin’s place of employment, Unified 2 in Sutton, for their great support during the time he was on leave: his boss and co-workers were so understanding and kind.
A memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 11, at 11:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street.
