George Rodrigues, Jr., 59, of Westport, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Fall River, son of the late George and Nancy Rodrigues, he was a lifelong resident of Westport. Prior to his illness, he was a photographer and worked at K Ellis Photocenter in Dartmouth. He was a graduate of Westport High School as well as Southeastern Massachusetts University. His proudest and favorite role was being "Drew's dad".
Survivors include his son: George "Drew" Rodrigues of Westport; a brother: James Rodrigues of Dartmouth; a sister: Nancy S. Rodrigues of Westport; and his former wife: Sheryl Gray. He was brother of the late Charles A. Rodrigues.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the Southcoast Visiting Nurses, as well as the professionals at Option Care, for their help and support throughout his illness.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the Potter Funeral Home at 12:00 P.M.
Calling hours will be from 11 - 12 prior to the funeral.
Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Westport.
A Celebration of Life will also be held at a later date.
