Clayton A. Rollins Jr., 76, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2022 from a lengthy illness. He was surrounded by his family. Clayton was a lifetime resident of East Bridgewater.
He was the founder and president of C.A. Rollins Corporation, a leader in the steel building industry since 1972. Clayton proudly served a four-year hitch in the United States Navy. He was a lifetime member of the East Bridgewater Commercial Club. Clayton was the Shellfish Warden on Saquish Beach for years where he was also a longtime resident.
C.A. was the son of Clayton A. Rollins Sr. and Rhoda S. Rollins. He was a loving husband to Linda E. Rollins, all of whom have surpassed him in death. Clayton leaves behind his daughter, Maryellen Rollins, sons, Clayton W. Rollins “Bubba” and Ashley Malvesti, and Joseph Rollins and his wife Doreen, all of East Bridgewater. He was the grandfather “Pup” to Nathan Clayton Rollins, Crew A. Rollins, Jacob J. Rollins, Bella Rollins Moore, and Cooper Malvesti. Clayton leaves behind sisters, Dr. Deanna Rollins, Mary Jane (Rollins) Cutting, and many nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews all of Florida. He will be sadly missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visiting hours on Saturday January 7 from 11:00 -2:00 PM with a service to follow at 2:00 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman.
