Eli J. Arsenault, 90, of Lucille Drive, Greenville, an employee with RIDOT, Scituate Garage, retiring in 1980. He died Saturday at Cortland Place, Smithfield. He was the husband of Marie R. (Calcagni) Arsenault.
Born in Smithfield, he was a son of the late Archie and Judith (Comier) Arsenault. He was an Army veteran of WW II. He had lived in Smithfield since 1968. He was a member of the Almeida-Hines DAV, Cumberland and Council 94, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees.
He is also survived by 2 sons, Richard J. Arsenault and David J. Arsenault both of Chepachet, 5 grandchildren and a great grandchild. He was the brother of the late Philip, Frank, Joseph, Cyris, Louis, Mary Arsenault, Jenny Herson, Josephine Audette and Denise Bellomore, and Lucy Gerrish.
Funeral Wednesday at 10am from the *ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Smithfield. Burial with military honors in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation Tuesday 5-7pm.
