In Raynham, Jean M. Jackman, age 99, passed away at All American Assisted Living in Raynham on December 30, 2022. Jean was born in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of the late Leslie O. & Louise (Herrick) Merrill.
Jean had resided in Taunton since 1987 and was formerly of Stoughton. She served her country while in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII, proud of being a drill instructor. Jean was a member of the Women’s Marines Association, a charter member of WIMSA, and the Walk “N” Mass. She enjoyed walking, exercising at the Holiday Inn, was an avid reader, and spending time with family.
Jean is survived by her children, Bruce W. Jackman and his wife Joan of Brockton, Gail Jackman of Gilford, NH, and Wendy J. Jackman of Honolulu, HI, and her grandson Derek Jackman of Boston.
Arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home in Taunton. Her services are private and burial will be at a later date in Bourne National Cemetery.
