Paul A. Cella, 83, of Nashua, NH, passed away on Saturday December 31, 2022 in Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on November 25, 1939 in Boston, MA, a son of the late Paul Cella, Sr. and Margaret (Mulhern) Cella. Having grown up in Charlestown, MA, he later resided in Mine Hill, NJ for 30 years before coming to Nashua, NH in 2016. Paul was a US Army veteran. He retired after many years from County College of Morris in Randolph, NJ. Paul was an avid sports fan and always enjoyed a good trip to the casino along with hanging out with his family and friends.
He is survived by his son, Paul Cella, III of Auburn, NH; three daughters, Gina M. Baldasaro and her husband Tim of Allenstown, NH, Kelly A. Mason and her husband Robert of Londonderry, NH, and Christina M. Zecha and her husband Carl of Whitefield, NH; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, his brother, Robert J. Cella of Charlestown, MA; his sisters, Joan Carr of York, ME, and Bernadette Donahue of Tewksbury, MA; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by the mother of his children, Barbara (Gioiosa) Cella in 2019; his sisters, Helen Reid and Dorothy Welch; and his longtime companion of 31 years, Ann Fitzpatrick.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday January 8, 2023 from 2 - 4pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Catholic prayer service will be held at 4:00pm in the funeral home. Entombment will be in Restland Memorial Park in E. Hanover, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
