Murray “Wayne” Aultman, 72, of Enigma passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Garvie Nichols, Jr. officiating. Mr. Aultman will be laid to rest at Turner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Enigma. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 1, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Wallace Hughes, Randy Swails, Corey Flanders, Raymond Barnes, Rayford Barnes and Ricky Barnes will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Hughlin Purvis, Hal McMillan and David Jernigan.
Born July 28, 1950, in Portsmouth, Virginia, Mr. Aultman was the son of the late Murray Aultman and Clara Swails Aultman. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Janice Gail Terrant Aultman and one sister, Brenda Gail Aultman Sapp. He was a retired salesman and he was of the Baptist faith. He loved the outdoors; he loved to fish and do yard work; and he loved to talk to people and never met a stranger. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Aultman is survived by one son, Anthony Wayne Aultman of Enigma; one daughter, Ashley Gail Aultman of Sebastian, Florida; his former wife, Denise Aultman; his sweetheart of many years, Kathy Luke of Tifton; and two grandchildren, Garek Duhame and Brandon Duhame, both of Sebastian, Florida.
