Gail Hunt (Batello) passed away peacefully at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center of Burlington on Wednesday, December 28th. She was 84. Raised in Somerville, Gail was the daughter of the late John and Theresa (Salines) Batello. Once married, Gail and her husband Edward settled in Medford where they raised their family. Gail was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Gail was a proud mom who enjoyed being home and caring for her kids. As they grew up, she enjoyed working at Tufts University. Gail was a member of the Red Hat Club in Medford. She always stayed close to her cousins and frequently made time to get together with them for a night at the movies or lunch.
The beloved wife of the late Edward Michael Hunt, who passed away in 2021, Gail was a devoted mother to Edward C. Hunt and his husband Joseph Ando of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Kevin M. Hunt and his wife Roisin of Medford. She leaves two adored grandchildren, Lily and Benjamin.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Friday January 6th from 4 – 7 PM and again on Saturday morning with a funeral service to be conducted in the funeral home at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
