Barbara J. (Mullen) Dietrich, 97, passed away at home in Muncie on December 27, 2022.
Barbara was born on March 9, 1925 in Darlington, IN, the daughter of Cecil and Bessie (Milner) Mullen.
She was a teacher in the Anderson Community Schools for over 30 years. Barbara volunteered with RSVP Care Bear, Indianapolis Zoo, Paramount Theatre, Girl Scouts, Explorer Post, Special Olympics, and was a member of Mother of Twins Club.
She is survived by her children Becky Dietrich, Debbie (Steve) Riga, Darlene Dietrich, Shawn Dietrich, Vaughn (Georgianna) Dietrich; grandchildren, Sarah (Kelsey) Ford-Hutto, Kristin (Matthew) Sorg, Leah (Stacey) Raymond; great grandchildren, Ivy, Floyd, and Patton Ford, Caroline Hutto, Elizabeth, Gabrielle and Xavier Sorg; special friends, Connie Harrold, Barb Cox, and several four legged companions.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Fred, and special friend Betty Nugent.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 3-5 PM at Rozelle- Johnson Funeral Service, followed by a funeral ceremony at 5PM.
Private burial will take place on Wednesday at East Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson.
