Anna Maria Mazzone, 88, of Concord Street, Greenville, died Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. She had lived in Bradenton, FL for 30 years until returning to RI.
Born in Providence, RI, she was a daughter of the late Michele and Nunzia (DiMauro) Solitro. She was married for 45 years to Frank J. Mazzone before his death in 1997.
Anna worked in the Computer Composition Department at the American Mathematical Society before retiring in 1990. She enjoyed reading, bingo, playing cards, shuffleboard, scrabble and golf. She loved watching the Game Show Network, New England Patriots and the Boston Redsox.
Her most precious gifts in life were her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. Her face would light up when they visited.
She is survived by her children: Nancy Ruggieri and her partner, Jeanne Weber of Bradenton, FL, Patricia Hickey and her husband, Daniel of Coventry, Joanne Provost and her husband, Christopher of Warwick, Michael Mazzone and his wife, Jackie of Honolulu, HI, Joseph Mazzone and his wife, Renee of Smithfield and Deborah Mazzone, and her partner, Derek Pierson, with whom she lived in Smithfield, her 19 grandchildren, her 23 great grandchildren, her sisters: Frances Solitro and Pauline Culley, both of Bradenton, FL. She was the sister of the late Bella Ferretti.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 9am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Visitation will be held Friday, January 6, 2023, 4-7pm.
