Mary E. (Cogan) Cataldo of Brockton, formerly of Roslindale passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the age of 82 surrounded by her daughters and loved ones. Beloved wife of the late William Cataldo. Devoted mother of Anne Gordon, Tracey Cataldo, Susan Boisclair, and her husband Richard, and Kelley Cataldo. Daughter of the late Joseph Cogan and Anna Cogan. Sister of Joseph Cogan and his wife Josephine, and the late John Cogan and his wife Tena. Dear grandmother of Stephanie Eleyi and her husband Eli, Dr. Amber Gordon, Paige Boisclair, William Cataldo, and John Boisclair. Cherished great-grandmother of Dominick Eleyi and Roman Eleyi. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
She had a 20-year career at Bradlees Distribution Center working in the office where she had many friends who loved her dearly. Mary loved her family and spending time with each and every one of them. Her favorite pastime was cooking. There was always a meal for an army at any given time. The more the merrier was her motto. When she wasn’t cooking, her she loved spending time at the beach and was always surrounded by family and friends.
Funeral on Wednesday January 4, 2023 at 9 AM from the Joseph Russo Funeral Home 814 American Legion Highway (near Cummins Highway) Roslindale followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Roslindale at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, Mary may be remembered through a donation to her favorite charity, Have A Sammi Kinda Day, P.O.
