Phyllis J. Kurtzer (O’Brien), age 82, of Sharon passed away at home December 26th surrounded by her family after a long illness. Born and raised in Boston, she attended Girl’s High in Boston and has lived in Sharon since 1964. During her life Phyllis worked in fashion design, food service and most recently as a pre-school teacher for Precious Moments School in Norton where she had a tremendous impact on the lives of all her students. Phyllis was a fantastic home cook and baker, which was one of the passions of her life
Beloved wife of Joseph L. Kurtzer. Mother of, Karen Ricca and her husband John of Norton, Joseph L. Kurtzer Jr. and his wife Michele of Wrentham and the late Michael Kurtzer and his late wife Danielle Kurtzer. Grandmother of John, Christopher, Abigail, Michael, Anthony, and Kathryn. Sister of Richard O’Brien of Maine, Dennis O’Brien of Wrentham, William O’Brien of Wrentham, Paul Ingegneri of North Attleboro, and the late Michael Ingegneri. A celebration of Phyllis’ life will be held at a date and place to be announced.
