Kathy West Shealey, 63, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Thursday, December 29, 2022, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Gary Mimbs and Minister Michael Lamb officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, in Fitzgerald Georgia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Mrs. Shealey was born June 21, 1959, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to Dale Davis West and the late Donald Laverne West. She was an equipment operator and an office clerk for the Department of Transportation and a Pharmacy assistant for Dixon and Rite Aid Pharmacy’s. Mrs. Shealey loved taking pictures of nature, she enjoyed gardening, flowers and fishing. She attended the Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her husband, Doug Shealey of Fitzgerald; children: Jason Douglas Shealey & Nellie of Augusta and Katelyn Lamb & Noah of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Jazmine Lynea Shealey and Logan Bowen; her mother, Dale Davis West of Harlem; two sisters: Janice Pope & David of Dublin and Donna Matthews of Harlem; one brother, Jack West of Crestview, Florida; and nieces and nephews: Austin Matthews, Meghan & Brandon Smith, Dawlton Matthews, and Christy & Matt Benson. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald West.
