Mrs. Doris Marchant O'Quinn, 89, of Tifton, died Sunday, May 28, 2006 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Tifton's First United Methodist Church. Rev. Sam Rogers and Rev. Cecil Phelps will officiate with burial to follow in Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson.
Mrs. O'Quinn was born on September 8, 1916 in Tift County and was the daughter of Isaac Willis Marchant and Arzoria Gertrude Taylor Marchant, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Willis Lamar O'Quinn; one brother, Earl Marchant; and four sisters, Lillian Darby, Sarah Willis, Lucille Johnson and Helen Purvis. She was a retired accountant and a member of Tifton's First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. O'Quinn is survived by two sons: Willis Lamar O'Quinn and his wife, Jeannette, of Hollywood, Florida, and James O'Quinn and his companion, Janet Crouch, of Sebring, Florida; one granddaughter and her husband, Dawn and Pasquale Celentano of Miramar, Florida; and two great grandchildren, Jennifer Celentano and Pasquale Celentano of Miramar, Florida.
