Lyndia Lou "Linda" (Pruett) Marling, 81, of Anderson died December 21, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family, after an extended illness.
She was born August 24, 1941 in Anderson, the daughter of David and Lilly Dimple (Snyder) Pruett. She was a homemaker and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Chesterfield Post #408. She loved her family, grandchildren, and her beloved dog "DG".
She is survived by her husband, Larry Gene Marling (passed away on December 23, 2022); her two children, David (Jennifer) Marling of Muncie and Darla (John) Lowe of McCordsville, 4 step-children, Billy (Sherri) Marling of Alexandria, Gayla Marling of Anderson, Gina (Bryant) Keesling of Lapel and Larry Marling, Jr. of Indianapolis; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jeffrey Marling and Scott Marling; a stepson, Bobby Marling; six siblings, Glen Pruitt, Bonnie Tanner, Deloris Bennett, Joy McCallister, Darless Mahoney and Brenda Pruett.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Ned Clark officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, December 30, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
