Cherry Valley – Henri H. Brunelle, 71, of Cherry Valley passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, December 24, 2022.
Hank was married for 51 years to his best friend and loving wife, Linda M. (Brassard) Brunelle; he is also survived by his two children, Todd H. Brunelle and his wife, Christina of Worcester and Keri L. Brunelle of Cherry Valley; three brothers, John J. Brunelle of Worcester, Alan R. Brunelle of Woodstock, CT and Gary K. Brunelle of Charlton; two sisters, Susan C. Fearrington of Oxford and Jo-Anne Yost of Woodstock, CT; his 3 grandchildren that he adored, Riley Brunelle, Reaghan Brunelle and Charli Brunelle and many nephews and nieces.
Hank was born in Worcester, son of the late Henri H. Brunelle Sr. and Claire R. (Lacroix) Brunelle and is also predeceased by a brother, David P. Brunelle and a sister, Carole A. Benson.
He graduated from the former Worcester Boy’s Trade High School where he studied to be a machinist and then entered in to the United States Army where he proudly served his country as a USAR Specialist E-5.
Hank along with his wife, Linda owned and operated Mid-State Snacks for many years until 2012. Throughout his career he made many friends and always looked forward to seeing his customers on his daily visits.
He was a member of the former Main South American Legion Post and was an avid sports fan as well as playing handball and racquetball but he was truly the happiest when he was spending time with his children and grandchildren. His family and friends will cherish the many memories they have, especially those that were made during their 30 plus years of camping at Point Judith.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, December 31, from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church 1222 Main St. Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 30, from 4 to 7 in the funeral home.
