LEICESTER; Lawrence R. MacFarland, Jr., 82, died Saturday, December 24 at Saint Vincent Hospital after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 57 years, Constance G. (Roland) MacFarland, a daughter, Sandra Rich, a granddaughter, Caitlin Guyette both of Brookfield, a niece, Susan MacFarland and her partner Glendle Hampton of Worcester, a close friend Donnie Roy of Cherry Valley and several nieces and nephews.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA., he was the son of Lawrence R. & Annabelle (Lee) MacFarland, Sr.
Lawrence was a machinist/supervisor at Reed & Prince in Worcester for over 40 years, retiring in 2002.
He was a member of the Spencer Fish & Game Club and was an avid hunter.
At the family's request, there are no services planned. Burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton will be at the convenience of the family and at a later date.
The MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester are assisting the family with arrangements.
