James C. “Jimmy” Molloy 87, of Franklin, passed away peacefully, Saturday December 24, 2022 at Milford Regional Medical Center following an illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan E. (Ristaino) Molloy, who died in 2019.
Born April 14, 1935, in Milford, a son of the late James A. & Helen A. (Westkage) Molloy, he was a lifelong Franklin resident and a winter resident of Singer Island, Florida.
He was raised and educated in Franklin and along with his late brother, was the owner of Molloy’s Garage on East Central Street in Franklin for over 57 years until retiring.
Jimmy enjoyed saltwater fishing, spending time at the Cape, boating and watching all the New England sports teams.
He is survived by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Jimmy was the father of the late James A. Molloy and brother of the late Richard J. Molloy and Kathleen Signoriello.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Thursday Dec. 29th at 9AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Church Square Franklin at 10AM.
Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-6PM.
