Cecile “Elaine” Joiner, 76, of Tifton passed away Friday, December 23, 2022, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with her cousin, Dr. Charles P. Adams, and the Rev. Chip Grantham officiating. Ms. Joiner will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Ms. Joiner's cousins and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Born May 18, 1946, in Tifton, Ms. Joiner was the daughter of the late Ernest Cecil Joiner and Geraldine Adams Joiner. Before retiring, she was a licensed practical nurse at Tift Regional Medical Center for nineteen years; Ashburn Health Care for nine years; and Sylvester Health Care for three years. She was a member of Tifton's First United Methodist Church.
Ms. Joiner is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Earl and Noel Joiner of Saint Simon's Island; Special Aunt, Patricia DeVane of Hernando, Florida; and several cousins and extended family.
