Donald was born in 1930 in Hartford, CT and grew up in Everett, MA. In high school, through a pastor who played basketball with the young men in the church, he understood his need for reconciliation to God through Jesus.
He attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL where he met Marlene Stadt of Grand Rapids, MI. College was interrupted by the Korean War when Donald entered the army and served in Korea and Japan. He returned home and married Marlene who would be his wife of 68 years. He completed his college education at Barrington College in RI, earning a BA in Education.
Don began his career teaching at Cutler Middle School in Mystic, CT.
Then he went on to educational television working for CPTV in West Hartford, CT. He continued his educational career in Illinois, Pennsylvania and Oregon. He was also active at church.
Don was most likely to be found enjoying family or reading a good book. His family is so very thankful for a father who told them about Jesus and loved them well. He will be missed by all of us.
