Carol Ann (Taylor) Vaughan of Whitman, Massachusetts passed away on December 15, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert “Arky” Vaughan, and daughter of the late William and Doris (Ford) Taylor.
She is survived by her loving daughter Wendy Solari and her husband Rick of Kingston, MA, cherished sister of Everett Taylor of Palm Springs, California and William “Billy” Taylor, Jr. of Johnston, Rhode Island, dearest grandmother of Joshua Solari of Halifax, MA and his wife Molly and Taylor Solari and his wife Caity of Plain City, Ohio, and her step-children, Steven Vaughan and is wife Lynda, Jeffrey Vaughan and his wife Janine, Judy Williams and her husband Mike and Kathy Swanton and her husband James and many great-grandchildren whom she adored!
Carol was kind, generous and compassionate and boy did she love her family!! When Carol’s twin grandsons Taylor and Joshua were born it began a whole new chapter of her life. They were her whole world and in caring for them she found a new perspective and outlook. She adopted a sober lifestyle and became active in Alcoholics Anonymous. Her outgoing personality and generosity made her a natural as she helped guide many others through the recovery process by offering her unwavering support throughout the past 35 years.
Carol loved thrift shopping and made it her mission whether at Savers or The Salvation Army to find the best name brand clothing for her great-grandchildren. She would lovingly wash all the clothes by hand and package them up with much care and devotion to be sent with love from Nannie-Nannie.
Carol loved her family and friends and was always extremely grateful for all the support she received from her “wonderful-wonderful” neighbors upon the passing of her husband, Robert “Arky” Vaughan who was the love of her life!! She and Arky were inseparable throughout their 35-year marriage, and the hole it left in her heart when he passed away was a daily reminder of the eternal gift of love, they shared that everyone should be so fortunate to experience in their lifetime.
While we mourn her passing, we celebrate the love she bestowed in our lives. We will miss her greatly!! She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed!
