Mark “Bubba” J. O’Connor, 53, of Worcester died Wednesday, December 21st at home. He leaves his father, Mark T. O’Connor of Worcester; two brothers, Sean O’Connor and his wife, Delia and Brian O’Connor all of Worcester; a sister, Mollie O’Connor Carrier and her husband, Greg Carrier of Oxford; a niece, Olivia O’Connor; and three nephews, Nicholas O’Connor, Declan Carrier, and Brayden Carrier. He was predeceased by his mother, Kathleen M (Henry) O’Connor who passed February 2022.
He was born in Worcester the son of Mark T. and Kathleen M. (Henry) O’Connor. Mark graduated from Worcester Vocational Technical School with a focus on carpentry and worked at the former New England Power Service Company before moving on to building modular homes amongst many other carpentry related projects. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. Bubba enjoyed spending time with his cherished friends and also loved listening to his local sports teams and Irish music.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 28th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling Hours are Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
