Ellen Ricciardi, 68, of Putnam Pike, Greenville, formerly of Stirling Drive, Harmony, died Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. She was the wife of Joseph L. Ricciardi. They had been married for 47 years.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Marjorie (Darlington) Maguire. She had most recently lived in Greenville after moving from Harmony.
Ellen was a schoolteacher in the Providence School System before retiring. She received her master’s degree from Providence College.
She loved reading books, baking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughters: Kelly Marshall and her husband, Matthew of Dayville, CT, Wendy Ricciardi and her boyfriend, Kurt Bertozzi of North Providence and Rebecca Nasis and her husband, Elias of Thompson, CT, her adored grandchildren: Ethan and Olivia Marshall and Divya Nasis. She is also survived by her sisters Patricia Hamel of Shelburne, VT and Kathryn Fahey of Windham, CT. She was the sister of the late Susan Mulready and Michael and Robert Maguire.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, December 28th. Visitation will be from 8:30-9:30am in the Anderson-Winfield funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will be private at a later date in Acote’s Hill Cemetery, Chepachet.
