Billy Edward Walsh, 73, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, December 22, 2022, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Jeff Parmer officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, in Fitzgerald, Georgia. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, from 6 PM until 8PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Walsh was born November 3, 1949, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Dewey Walsh and the late Sallie Mae Howell Rowell. He was a truck driver and hauled mobile homes. Mr. Walsh enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool and painting. He was a master piddler.
He is survived by his wife, Meredith Murray Walsh of Fitzgerald; two daughters: Donna Houston & Jim of Coosada, Alabama and Kasi Morgan & Stephen of Fitzgerald; six grandchildren: Cody Cowan & Lauren, Nick Cowan, Jarrett Houston & Avery Harrison, Reese Morgan, Masyn Morgan and Trey Wright; a great-grandchild, John Parker Cowan and his fur baby, Sam. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Elaine Walsh.
