Craig S. Burton, 72, of Hudson, died peacefully in his home in Hudson on Thursday December 8, 2022. His loving wife, Rose, was by his side.
He is preceded in death by his father, Stanley; mother, Evelyn; brothers John and Bruce; and his first wife Patricia (Corcoran).
Craig is the beloved father of Melissa (Burton) Lawson and her husband Michael of NH. He leaves his sister, Kathleen A. Arnold of Shrewsbury and his brother Robert W. Burton and his wife, Maura of Franklin, his three grandchildren Sophia, Charles, and Natalie, and several nieces and nephews.
Craig is remembered for his odd sense of humor, for having 3 basic colors in his wardrobe -black, black, and black, and for his deep tans after a long day at the beach. He was a Vietnam War Veteran and proudly and bravely served his country. Like so many, his service left lasting effects that were often hidden behind his sweet smile and kind hazel eyes.
Private funeral and interment services at the Burton Family lot at Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland will be determined in the near future. Friends, loved ones, and anyone who knew Craig are encouraged to give to or volunteer at a veteran’s organization of their choice.
