GRANBY – Elizabeth (Franzkowiak) Trybus, 94, of Granby and a former longtime resident of South Hadley, was Called Safely Home on Monday, December 12, 2022. She passed into Eternal Life at Vantage of South Hadley surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Gelsenkirchen, Horst, Germany on February 14, 1928, a beloved daughter of the late Bergmann L. and Katharina G. (Schraplak) Franzkowiak. She was raised and educated in Germany and had lived in England before moving to Holyoke. She later moved to Hollywood Street in South Hadley where she lived for 60 years before moving to Granby in 2020. She was employed as a cable assembler at the former Holyoke Wire and Cable, which later became EIS Wire and Cable, in South Hadley. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by her loving husband and best friend, Michael Trybus who was Called Home on September 24, 1981; and her 11 dear brothers and sisters. She leaves her loving son and daughter in law, Thaddeus M. “Ted” Trybus and his wife, Stasia, of Granby; her three cherished grandchildren, Michael T. Trybus, Samantha A. Peltier and her husband, Robert, and Thaddeus M. Trybus, Jr; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Trybus and Franzkowiak families. Her funeral services and burial are private. There are no visiting hours.
