Sarah G. (Floyd) Covey, 71 of Derry passed away suddenly, Sunday December 11, 2022 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry. She was born November 4, 1951 in Kearny, NJ and was the daughter of the late Leland Carter Floyd, Sr. and the late Emma G Floyd.
She was raised and educated in Kearny, NJ and had been a resident of Derry, NH since 1983. She was employed with Ma Bell and then the IRS until her retirement. She was an avid Nascar fan, loved camping and traveling and was a big fan of NFL football.
Members of the family include her late husband of 33 years, Allan W. Covey of Derry, NH; son, Robert E. Elsmore of Derry, NH, daughter, Terri-Anne (Elsmore) Carette and her husband Brian of Manchester, NH, daughter, Kimberly G. (Elsmore) O’Sullivan and her husband Kevin of Kearny, NJ; 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; she was predeceased by her siblings, Robert, Debbie, Linda and Richard, survived by Leland Carter Floyd, Jr., Donald J. Floyd and Diane D. Hammond.
Following cremation, the family is planning a celebration of life at a later date. Anyone wishing to make memorial donations in her honor is invited to donate to the Disabled Veterans Charity of his or her choice. The Peabody Funeral home and Crematorium of Derry, NH is assisting the family.
