Beverly
Lorraine D. Belanger, 101, of Beverly passed away unexpectedly Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the Lahey- Beverly Hospital, in Beverly. She was the devoted wife of the late Roger E. Belanger, with whom she shared 67 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, She was the daughter of the late Felix and Delima LaBrie. Following Lorraine and Roger’s marriage in 1940, the couple devoted their time caring and raising their young family. As the children advanced in schooling, Lorraine began working for the Marshall’s Company. She retired as a supervisor for the company’s distribution center in Woburn. Following the couple’s retirement, they spent the next 21 years wintering in Largo, Florida. The active couple loved entertaining family and friends as well as extensive traveling. Lorraine also enjoyed challenging puzzles and shuffle board.
She is survived by her daughter Priscilla L. O’Donnell of Peabody, son, Norman R. Belanger and wife Virginia of Topsfield, son-in-law, William Thomson of Utah, grandchildren, Kevin O’Donnell and partner Rebecka O’Donovan, Pamela Arno and husband Richard, Michael O’Donnell and wife Deborah, Thomas O’Donnell and wife Nancy, Peter O’Donnell and wife Andrea, Amy Roy, Jody Preston and husband Jeff and Paul Belanger and wife Carol. She also leaves many great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Arlene Thomson, Son-in-law, George O’Donnell, granddaughter, Sharon Walsh and siblings, Ida Poirier, Anne Ouellette, Lucy Clark, and Arthur LaBrie.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM, to be followed by her Mass of Christian Burial in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem at 11:00 AM. Her burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem.
