Edith C Paglia, (Cirillo), 73, of Whitman, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on December 9 after a year long illness.
Born in Quincy, Massachusetts in 1949, she was the daughter of the late Julio and Olga Cirillo.
She was a graduate of Norwich Free Academy in Norwich, CT in 1967, and later went on to earn an RN license from Massasoit Community College. She was employed by South Shore Hospital as a pediatric nurse for over 40 years.
She loved spending time at the beach and cherished her two boys and grandchildren. She enjoyed attending both her children and grandchildren’s sporting events and rarely missed a game or event. She also enjoyed spending time with her extended family getting together in Connecticut. Family was what was most important to her.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Larry Paglia and her two children Brian Paglia, of Southboro MA, and his wife, Cristen Kowalski, and Mark Paglia of Whitman, MA; her siblings Vincent Cirillo of Norwich, CT and Richard Cirillo of Waterford CT; her grandchildren, Kevin and Katherine Paglia, both of Plymouth, MA and two step grandchildren Calvin and Dylan Beard, both of Southborough, MA; also several nieces and nephews whom she adored and who adored her as well.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visiting hours on Wednesday December 14 from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman and her funeral services on Thursday December 15 at 9:45 am from the Chapel, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 am in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will be at a later date.
In lieu of Flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
